About Us

The Mental Health Association of the District of Columbia is a 45-year-old nonprofit organization devoted to promoting an understanding of mental health and preventing mental illness through information and referral, education, and advocacy. As an affiliate of the National Mental Health Association, MHA-DC works with over 340 mental health associations across the country to ensure a just, humane, and healthy society for the 54 million Americans with mental disorders.
